After eight months of closure, the Municipal Theater of Las Condes will open its doors. It will be this Monday, November 16. This was announced by its director, Arturo Hughes, the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, Consuelo Valdés, and the mayor of the eastern sector, Joaquín Lavín.
The opening of the enclosure is due to the fact that Las Condes passes to phase 4 of the “Step by Step” plan. This will allow the cultural space to have a maximum capacity of 400 people. It corresponds to 50% of its total capacity.

“We are happy to be able to reopen the theater and perform. 8 months have passed, in which we continue to transmit online. But now we have the great opportunity to reopen and be a platform for national artists, ”said the mayor of Las Condes, Joaquín Lavín.
Minister Consuelo Valdés, referred to the experience provided by the presence in cultural instances such as the theater. He also made reference to the economic reactivation of the item. “This has been a very hard period, which has strongly affected the cultural sector,” he commented.

For his part, the director of the Theater, Arturo Hughes, announced that “Gladys” will premiere on Thursday, November 19.
It is a production seen by more than 20 thousand people that has a cast led by actress Catalina Saaverdra, who will play a woman with Asperger’s Syndrome. This work will touch on the theme of disability, abuse of power and social rejection.
Protocol
Within the enclosure there is a sanitary protocol that contemplates the mandatory use of a mask at all times, maintaining a distance of one meter in line, disinfecting hands, shoes and temperature control.
Unlike a normal function, attendees will be prohibited from changing their assigned seat. In addition, there will be defined routes, the elevators may only be used by people with reduced mobility and the consumption of food and beverages inside the enclosure will be strictly prohibited.
