Author of threats against Minister Jaime Bellolio identified: defendant acknowledged the facts | National

This Friday afternoon, the Metropolitan Cybercrime Investigation Brigade identified and located the author of the threats of death against the minister of the General Secretariat of Government, Jaime Bellolio.

The 29-year-old subject was interviewed by detectives, acknowledging the factTherefore, it was warned by Article 26 of the Penal Code and at the disposal of the North Central Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office.

Specifically, the threat through the Instagram platform consisted of:

“It will be fast and beautiful. Because you know well each one of your steps is observed as we did with Jaime ”, he adds.

The head of the Metropolitan Cybercrime Investigation Brigade, Subprefect Luis Orellana, explained that after learning of the threats made against the minister, the investigative work began, managing to find the person responsible.

In this way, after reviewing the computational and technological equipment, it was found that the university student was the owner of the account that harassed the government authority.

The student does not have a prior criminal record.

Finally, the sub-prefect stressed that threats through social networks are also a crime and subject to a type of investigation.
