Voice messages and calls from a former acquaintance of Calderón Sr. and current close to the defense of his son are part of the plot. According to the audios – which BioBioChile exclusively accessed – he was threatened with a new complaint for sexual abuse against another woman, an action would not have been successful due to possible ties with Raquel Argandoña.
On August 18, the Eastern Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office formalized Hernán Calderón Argandoña for frustrated patricide, less serious injuries and illegal possession of weapons, leaving him first under arrest in a clinic in the La Reina commune, and later, by order of the Court of Appeals of Santiago, transferring him in preventive prison to the Santiago Uno prison, where he remains until today.
The victim, Hernán Calderón Salinas, after the last attack on his son, on August 11, decided to file a complaint and in the formalization supported the Prosecutor’s Office to obtain his provisional arrest.
However, at the same time, Calderón Argandoña’s partner, Rebeca Naranjo, filed a complaint for repeated sexual abuse against her former father-in-law, describing situations that would have occurred within the apartment of the young man’s father.
The audios
Prior to the formalization hearing, on August 16 and 17, Hernán Calderón Salinas received voice messages and calls from a former acquaintance of his and current close to the defense of his son, the lawyer Cristián Opazo.
In the first voice message, the lawyer asks you to desist from requesting the preventive detention of your son and offers, in exchange, to withdraw the complaint for repeated sexual abuse.
“My friend, for the record, the idea would then be that you and your lawyers do not support the request for preventive detention regarding your son and on the other hand the defense, Mario Vargas, would withdraw from the complaints for repeated abuse (…) As I mentioned, you do not ask for preventive detention and the defense withdraws the complaint for repeated sexual abuse against Hernancito’s girlfriend ”.
– Audio excerpt
Already in a telephone conversation, Calderón and Opazo talked about Mario Vargas, Calderón Argandoña’s current defense attorney, where he warns them that there is an issue of extortion around the accusations of sexual abuse.
“If you were willing to make a concession based on what I am telling you, let it happen whatever has to happen, or you could demand something, huh, so that this is not so brutal,” says Opazo.
In the third audio that our media had access to, Calderón Salinas explained to Opazo the need to undergo psychiatric treatment for his son, he spoke of the evidence against the accusations of sexual abuse, of the relationship with Rebeca Naranjo, of a incident of violence between his son and his girlfriend in the Caribbean, and he sends a message to his ex-partner Raquel Argandoña.
Second complaint that was unsuccessful
According to sources close to Hernán Calderón Salinas, after the formalization of his son, precisely on the weekend of August 22 and 23, he received threats from members of the defense hired by Raquel Argandoña of the eventual presentation of a new complaint for alleged sexual abuse against a woman with initials JA
As they point out, the action was not carried out after discovering that the complainant had been offered to occupy an apartment in Las Condes owned by the face of Canal 13 for twelve months.
Anyway, after Calderón’s refusals to accept the alleged extortion, his son’s partner withdrew this Monday from the complaint for sexual abuse before the Fourth Guarantee Court of Santiago in a document that bears his signature and that of his lawyer María Tuane (see document).
From 10:00 am this Tuesday, in the Fourth Guarantee Court of Santiago, the defense of Hernán Calderón Argandoña will request a review of precautionary measures for the accused who declared yesterday for the first time before the Eastern Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office.
