Barricades and clashes between the uniformed police and protesters were part of the incidents recorded in the framework of a new day to commemorate the 1973 Coup d’état.
The riots began in the afternoon. According to Carabineros, unknown persons installed barricades and bonfires near the General Cemetery, in Recoleta, where subjects also disturbed public order, which led the police to use the water-gun to disperse the protesters. On the occasion, about 350 people came to the cemetery.
In Plaza Italia there were also incidents, where protesters clashed with the police. Carabineros had all the drones that the institution has and more than 3,500 police officers dedicated to order and security, who were deployed in the main points of excesses in the Metropolitan Region, such as Central Station, Peñalolén and Huechuraba.

The main disturbances, however, occurred at night, some of which were accounted for after the curfew began, in various regions of the country, although mainly in the capital.
In Villa France, where bonfires were lit, Carabineros reported various attacks on their officials, including shots fired at police vehicles. In that sector, a teenager was wounded in the jaw after being hit by a tear gas canister. The barricades also occupied arteries in the Peñalolén commune, while in Lo Hermida the attack on a sub-police station was reported and a policeman was wounded in the face with a pellet. In La Pincoya, meanwhile, there were attacks with Molotov cocktails on police vehicles. Until midnight, Carabineros reported at least 10 injured officials.
