Mayor Manoli avoided giving a defining position, but he did ensure that the new mixed patrols are giving results. In addition, he handed over to Congress the task of stopping the violent events.
“With regard to the State of Siege, an action protocol was established that has produced results and there have been mixed patrols and controls. What yes, I make an absolute emphasis in that the Congress is the one that has to decide to dictate laws that allow to fight these so terrible scourges, as it is the terrorism ”, maintained.
Statements by the representative of the President in the region shared hours after – at the La Bandera Farm located in the Huichahue sector of Padre Las Casas – police officers were attacked with gunshots by unknown persons.
All this in the context of the eviction to a piece of property that was being occupied by Mapuche communities. The shots did not leave uniformed people injured and there were no people arrested, but some damage and theft of species in a building, which have not yet been quantified.
