At 41, Venezuelan singer Anthony Galindo, better known as “Papi Joe” from Menudo, passed away.
The artist was part of the musical group that rose to fame in the mid-1980s and was the artistic cradle of Ricky Martin.
“With a very deep pain, we want to inform you that today, Saturday, October 3 at 3:43 in the afternoon, our dear Anthony Galindo has passed away,” said his family through social networks.
Likewise, they indicated that “as it was their will, the family agreed to the request to donate their organs, so that, as soon as it ceased to exist, it could help other people save lives.”
It is worth mentioning that the family reported that his death occurred after six days in which he received medical attention after attempting to kill himself, indicating that he suffered from depression.
Galindo was part of Menudo during its last stage in 1995 and later he was part of the group MDO, which emerged after the dissolution of the previous band.
