Today, at 41, the death of the Venezuelan was confirmed Anthony Galindo, former member of the groups Menudo and MDO.

The death was announced on social networks through a message from his family, where they detailed that this occurred on Saturday after the artist tried to kill himself on September 27.

According to his inner circle, the artist was the victim of a severe depression, which was exacerbated by the health and labor crisis that unleashed the covid-19. “It was because of the ravages caused by the covid-19 pandemic in the booming industry”, they assured.

“(Anthony) was suffering episodes of depression as a result of his withdrawal from the stage, everyone knows his great passion for music; These were exacerbated due to the pandemic and resulted in the trigger for this drastic and unfortunate decision ”, they added.

Alexis Grullón, Edgar Antonio Galindo Ibarra’s former partner in Menudo, dedicated a brief message to him on social networks after learning of the death: “Rest in peace”he wrote on Instagram.

In the group, in addition to Grullón, Galindo shared the stage in 1995 with Abel Talamántez and Didier Hernández.

René Farrait, one of the band’s most famous ex-performers, also posted words for Galindo on Instagram: “Rest in peace, bro.”
