More trouble for The Red. The ANFP recently reported that Fabián Orellana was released from the call for qualifying matches against Uruguay and Colombia.
Through a statement, the governing body of national football released the news.
“The Communications Management of the Chilean Soccer Federation informs that the Medical Corps of the Chilean National Team released the player Fabián Orellana from the call for the qualifying matches against Uruguay and Colombia, which will be played on October 8 and 13 respectively” they said.
Note that the national received a strong blow in the fall of his team, Valladolid, against Eibar for La Liga in Spain.
Due to his illness, Orellana had to leave the game at minute 65 of the game.
“The decision was adopted because the Real Valladolid Club Medical Services have reported that Orellana has a left thigh muscle injury, the reported recovery period of which exceeds the Playoff match cycle,” they closed.
Orellana is joined by the low Andrés Vilches, who will not be in the call due to a quarantine that must be carried out.
