Andrés Allamand is ruled out of the 2021 presidential race

This morning Andrés Allamand ruled out his participation in the Presidential Elections. Let us remember that these are scheduled for the last months of 2021. “I am not going to participate in that race,” he declared in the program Mesa Central of Channel 13. In the program he also expressed his current commitment to the current government and foreign policy.

They also consulted him on the statements of Mario Desbordes, current Minister of Defense and a member of the National Renovation, who assured that he will make the decision to enter the presidential race in March of next year.

Other candidates for National Renewal

“Desbordes does well to make his intentions clear,” said Allamand. “In National Renewal, there are going to be other alternatives, other presidential letters. Senator Chahuán, Senator Ossandón will be there; but that is already the subject of next year ”, he clarified.

“I have a set of steps that I have advanced and none of those, as long as I continue to have the confidence of the President, can be interrupted,” said the Chancellor, referring to the agenda he has prepared for the portfolio he leads in the government of Sebastián Piñera .
