Andrea Molina takes another step in his aspiration for mayor of Viña del Mar

Andrea Molina continues to advance with her campaign towards the mayor of Viña del Mar. And this weekend the former deputy and former television face took a key step by receiving the support of Renovación Nacional to become the letter of Chile Vamos en la Garden City.

Molina, who was defined by the UDI as its candidate for the municipal seat that Virginia Reginato will leave, was made official as a candidate by the Valparaíso Regional Council of RN, after former mayor Raúl Celis stepped down from the municipal race.

Against this background, Chile Vamos maintains two candidates for the mayor of Viña del Mar: Andrea Molina (supported by the UDI and RN) and the Evópoli militant Georg Hübner, former head of Municipal Health under the Reginato administration.

“I receive this news very positively and with great joy, and of course for me it is an honor. Every step that has been taken I have been receiving with much encouragement and a lot of respect, which is what corresponds,” Molina declared in El Mercurio de Valparaíso, on RN’s official support for his candidacy.

Beyond what happens with Molina and Hübner, other right-wing figures remain standing as candidates for mayor of Viña del Mar. In that condition are the former maritime governor Rodrigo Vattuone, the lawyer of “Viña Transparente” Javier Gómez, former UDI Jorge Escudero and former TV host Marlen Olivarí.
