An undetermined number of kittens would have been burned to death

An unexpected consequence of the fire in La Asunción Church, in the heart of Santiago, was revealed with the passing of the hours and the control of the flames by Firefighters, after it was confirmed that An undetermined number of kittens would have been burned to death due to the fact that a kennel operated there.

Although in the first instance it was assured in the place that there were about 100 kittens affected, later the Archdiocese of Santiago assured that at the time of the accident there were only seven animals inside the house that was affected by the fire.

Firefighters Volunteers managed to rescue two of them, while it was indicated that the majority could not have escaped the flames, although the commander of the institution did not need information on the matter.

As it transpired, the kennel was in a large house behind the parish which was burned after the action of violent activists who took cover in commemoration of the first year of the social outbreak to set fire to the Catholic temple.

However, there is still no official information on the damages and victims, in addition to a registry of how many animals finally died as a result of the fire.
