The Ministry of Health reported 4,956 coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, reaching a total of 26,889 cases that are currently in the active stage of the virus.
Of the 4,956 cases, 3,296 are with symptoms and 1,497 asymptomatic, totaling 690,066 infections since the pandemic began in the country. This number is the new maximum of the second peak of infections in the country and is similar to what was registered on June 25, when there were 4,648 cases.

On the last day, 62,516 PCR tests were registered, with a percentage of 7.93 percent positivity.
The regions with the highest number of infections in the last day were the Metropolitan (892), Los Lagos (581), Biobío (522), Valparaíso (384) and Maule (325).
Regarding deaths, in the last 24 hours they were registered 84 deceased in the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), reaching a total of 17,786 fatalities.
Currently there 1,221 hospitalized in intensive care units1,024 of them with mechanical ventilation support and 93 in critical health. Meanwhile, there is an availability of 181 critical beds.
