Espacio Riesco agreed to reduce the rental charges for the premises by almost $ 400 million for its use as a hospital due to the health emergency caused by the covid-19 this year.
During this Thursday, the Undersecretary of Healthcare Networks, Alberto Dougnac, reported on the agreement with Espacio Riesco after this report to the Ministry of Health for owing more than $ 4 million for its use.
According to the public statement of Espacio Riesco, they accepted, “to reduce our legitimate charges -both of the rental contract and the complementary implementation contract- by almost 400 million pesos, to reach a final payment pending $ 2,090 million“.
In the same way, they reiterated that the sum agreed and signed by the former Minister of Health, Jaime Mañalich, shows that, “There was no desire for commercial use on the part of our company” reiterating his innocence.
To conclude, Riesco appreciated the gesture made by the Ministry of Health as the Undersecretary of Healthcare Networks for, “Having agreed to this solution for the good of the country”.
