Let’s remember that Ponce Lerou had been sanctioned in 2014, however, the fine of 1.7 million UF (equivalent to $ 48,300,800,000 in current Chilean currency) issued by the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance (SVS) was lowered by the Constitutional Court , which determined in 2018 that the maximum penalty should be 75 thousand UF, according to La Tercera.

The decision was later confirmed by courts of Appeals, as well as by the highest court, the Supreme Court.

Due to the above, what was finally canceled corresponds to $ 2,152,212,620, which was transferred by him to the account of the 18th Civil Court of Santiago.
