The actress Consuelo Holzapfel (64) disclosed a complex personal moment related to the problem of pensions in Chile and assured that he currently lives with a low retirement.
In conversation with the digital program “Reyes del drama”, the interpreter remembered by soap operas such as “Oro verde” and “Romané” confessed that, despite her more than 40 years of experience, today she receives an amount that is not enough for her. “I don’t even dare say it because I don’t want them to cry … I receive 178 thousand pesos“, he indicated.
“It is strong, it is the reality of this country. One understands why things that do happen. In all families in Chile there is a case like this,” added the actress.
Holzapfel explained that, although he imposed a large part of his career voluntarily, he had loopholes that reduced his savings. She also assured that with TVN, where she worked between 1978 and 2012, she was always linked through fee contract.
“They owe me all those taxes for my retirement that they no longer gave me. I never dared to sue TVN, I no longer did. I was afraid to get into something like that, I’m very hippie, I don’t want problems, “he explained.
Regarding the future of the pension system, Consuelo Holzapfel sees it with little optimism and assures that “I don’t have much hope”. “I do not believe that the pandemic will make us better people, I believe that we will be the same and worse again,” he concluded.
