This Wednesday the detention control of a 24-year-old man, accused of the crimes of rape and homicide against a 26-year-old woman, was carried out. whose body was found on Tuesday at the top of Cerro Condell de Curicó.

According to the background, the man would have met the victim through social networks and they agreed to meet on Monday night in the city, so they arrived together at Condell Hill, where he would have been murdered.

The information was released by the head of the PDI Homicide Brigade in Curicó, Gino Gutiérrez, who indicated that The accused and the victim had known each other in a physical way a short time ago and that before the contact between them had only been through Facebook.


For his part, the prosecutor in the case, Felipe Novoa, indicated that the arrest was declared legal by the Guarantee Court and it was agreed to postpone the formalization hearing until Saturday, so that two procedures could be carried out: an autopsy on the body. of the victim and an expert opinion of the Traffic Accident Investigation Section (SIAT).


The Court of Guarantee of Curicó decided that the accused -Sebastián Soto Bravo- must remain in detention at least until Saturday, when the formalization hearing is held.

The woman was identified as Sara Muñoz and was a native of the city of Teno, and her case generated commotion in Curicó, even on Tuesday night a candlelight and demonstrations were organized on Cerro Condell.
