The absolute monarch of the clay of Roland Garros did it again. The Spanish Rafael Nadal (number 2 in the ATP ranking) swept Novak Djokovic (1st) in three sets and won his thirteenth title in the Phillipe Chatrier and incidentally reached Roger Federer as the highest Grand Slam winners in history (20).
In the central court of Roland Garros, Nadal had no rival by destroying the Serbian tennis player 6-0, 6-2 and 7-5 and thus lifting the trophy as in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 , 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2019. The Balearic was intractable from start to finish to defend his domain from the enemy and his greatest rival.
Nadal, who equaled Federer for the first time on the historic roof of tennis, defended his throne fiercely from a 6-0 unthinkable in this type of finals.
