PDI personnel surprised 24 foreigners today, most of them of Colombian origin and all of legal age, holding a party in Punta Arenas, one of the communes most affected in the country by the covid-19 pandemic and which is currently quarantined.
The head of the Punta Arenas Criminal Investigation Brigade, Subprefect Jaime Rossel, explained that this morning, around 08:00 a.m., they received a call from residents of the sector, who accused the holding of a party and disturbing noise in a home particular.
Before the complaint, Rossel explained, “PDI detectives attended the indicated place, in Quillota with Maipú corner, verifying that there was indeed a party and a number of 24 people inside the home, all of foreign nationality.”
Due to the fact, the 24 people were arrested, but only five went to hearing and detention control. Of them, one is the organizer of the event, while the other four went to this instance for being repeat offenders in the crime.
Finally, Rossel clarified that none of the participants appeared in the authorities’ records as a person with positive covid-19 or subject to quarantine for isolation.
