In preventive prison for the crime of frustrated parricide was a subject who, early on Thursday morning, violently assaulted his parents with a baseball bat, after they asked him to lower the volume of the music.
It was formalized by the North Central Prosecutor’s Office, which requested the custodial measure due to danger to society.
According to the investigation by the prosecutors Débora Quintana and Mauricio González, the events occurred around 01:00 hours, inside the home located in the commune of Santiago.
At the scene, the accused, premeditated by an aluminum baseball bat 70 to 80 cm long, attacked his parents, both older adults, whom he repeatedly struck with this forceful element on the head, face, limbs and various areas of the body, in order to kill them there.
As indicated by the public prosecutor González in audience, as a result of this aggression, the mother was left with a contuse left parietal wound, a cutting wound on the scalp of a less serious nature, according to the respective data on urgent care.
Meanwhile, the father of the defendant suffered traumatic brain injury, contusions in the occipital region, in the abdominal thoracic area and upper extremities, trauma to the head and head, serious injuries, according to the report of emergency care.
In the opinion of the Central North Prosecutor’s Office, such acts constitute two crimes of parricide, in a degree of frustrated, in which the accused bears responsibility as the author.
Given the gravity of the facts, the prosecution requested the preventive detention of the accused, which was granted by the court.
