In a parallel world without a pandemic, Black widow would have hit theaters almost a year ago, last May 1. But no, COVID-19 was established wreaking havoc on the film industry, probably completely changing it, which led to a succession of postponements.

First, the premiere was changed to April 2020, then it went to November of the same year. Finally, the studio set the release for the next May 7th. Along the way, new delays have been felt in the launch, but the studio preferred to nip everything in the bud, stay in the planned line and add something that at some point it came to deny: streaming Disney + with a special “premiere” lease.

Regarding the story, at this point the fans are already clear: the film will be located between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, which explains why the Black Widow played by Scarlett Johansson is alive. To that they add a new mission to prevent a conspiracy of a military nature, the action of the villainous Taskmaster in the middle and even the presentation of more details of the origin of Natasha and her connections with Russian characters that will debut here.
