The Government announced that nine communes of the Metropolitan region will go to the Quarantine phase in the Step by Step plan, this before the advance of the contagions of the COVID-19.

Transition (Step 2): Santiago, Ñuñoa, Central Station, Recoleta, Maipú, Peñalolén, Puente Alto, San José de Maipo, Macul, Conchalí, La Pintana, San Bernardo, La Granja, Independencia, La Cisterna, Quilicura, Lo Espejo, Pedro Aguirre Cerda, Pudahuel, Colina, San Ramón, San Pedro, Talagante, Calera de Tango, Buin, Lampa, Curacaví, Melipilla, Paine y Pirque, Alhué, Peñaflor, San Joaquín, Cerro Navia, Providencia, La Reina, Vitacura, Las Condes, Lo Barnechea, El Monte, María Pinto, Huechuraba and Tiltil.
