The First B clubs, through un statement signed by 13 teams, delivered their version regarding the ANFP’s decision to leave the Second Division without direct promotion and accused the third category of being a “false victim” that it was favored in 2019 and 2020, and that those really affected by the decisions of the Council of Presidents are the groups of B.

The letter, titled “The only truth”, gives chronological account of the events that occurred since football was interrupted in 2019 due to the social outbreak, and they point out that the Second Division in the 2020 season did not suffer any damage, since it maintained its promotion (Lautaro de Buin rose) and suffered its two traditional descents.

“But in relation to the First B, the situation is very different, because although it is true, in the 20219 season it did not suffer the only traditional descent, in the 2021 season it will no longer have its two agreed promotions“, explains the letter.

In addition, the signing clubs emphasize that one promotion is direct and another must be played on the court. “with the same or worse sports disadvantage alleged by the Second Division“.

With these arguments, the First B indicated that its division is the most affected: “They want to force us not only to renounce a promotion, but also to accept two direct demotions, and leave the Second Division far from any collaboration or solidarity in the search for a return to normality “.

Finally, First B remarked that “we are not willing that the cost is higher be assumed by us and that the clubs of the Second Division do not make any contribution assuming an intolerable, unfair and arbitrary attitude of false victim “.

The clubs that signed this communication are Deportes Copiapó, San Luis de Quillota, Cobreloa, Santa Cruz, Magallanes, Coquimbo Unido, Puerto Montt, Unión San Felipe, Deportes Temuco, Santiago Morning, Barnechea, Rangers and Deportes Iquique.

Of the 16 teams in the category, U. de Concepción, San Marcos de Arica and Lautaro de Buin did not sign.
