There is already a date for the re-release of one of the most remembered teleseries in the history of TVN: “Romané”.

The new debut of the gypsy plot will occur this March 1st, in the evening band immediately after “Lady and Workman”, another of the telenovelas of the public channel that was rescheduled in the framework of the pandemic.

Released with great success in the year 2000, the story has as its central axis the arrival and settlement of a caravan of gypsies in Mussels, a milestone that revolutionizes the town in the middle of a Chile that, at that time, was not recognized as a multicultural country.

“It is a beautiful television series, which despite the time is still very relevant. I think it is fantastic, wonderful that it is brand new. It is a television series that people are going to see with great pleasure, because the story is still very much present in people’s memory ”, recalled one of its protagonists, Amparo Noguera.

In history, Noguera was “Maria Magdalena”, one of Jovanka’s daughters. “Perhaps at that time not much was understood, but he is a character who defends difference, integration. Her demand was to be accepted in a Chilean school as a gypsy; she claims her origin. She wants to study, learn in the formal system, but as a gypsy, without abandoning her culture ”, she recalled.

“This character in 2021 represents inclusion. Vicente Sabatini (director) was super visionary with that .. Today, she represents him perfectly ”, commented the interpreter.
