In the middle of the debate on the return to face-to-face classes in Chile, a noisy controversy caused a tweet from the actor on social networks Renato munster where he openly criticized the College of Teachers (one of the main opponents of the government proposal).
“I have more laziness than the head of the Teachers College”wrote the “Hidden Truths” actor in a post that quickly went viral.
After a wave of criticism and messages of support (it was a trending topic on Twitter this Wednesday), the interpreter chose to delete the controversial tweet, while continuing to participate in the discussion on the social network.
In that process, and in the same way, Munster tried to explain his message to users who rebuked him for removing it from their profile.
“Why did you try to lazy leaders and teachers and then delete?”, Asked a user. “The leaders, not the teachers. You understand it but you don’t want to recognize the difference. Why did I take it out? My business”the actor replied.
“I saw my daughter working 16 hours reinventing herself, investing and preparing activities and material for her students,” one user questioned, to which Munster replied: And did the leaders support it? Because my tweet is addressed to them. Not the teachers “.
In another comment, and in response to a user who called him a “little man” for criticizing the union, he argued “How many voted in the last election? (from the College of Teachers) 15,000 out of 270,000 approx. Associates 3,000? Don’t tell me they represent the teachers. That is not true”.
In social networks, the debate on virtual classrooms has become one of the most discussed topics of the day. Through a video, UNESCO’s regional adviser for Education and Health, Mary Guinn Delaney, affirmed that the return to face-to-face classes in Chile is “feasible” and “urgent.”
