Salma Hayek talks about “traumatic” recording of sex scene with Antonio Banderas

In 1995, Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas they starred in the movie “Desperado” (or “The ballad of the gunman”) by Robert Rodríguez, in whose filming the Mexican suffered by having a sex scene with the Spaniard and described that occasion as “traumatic”.

Hayek recounted the situation on the Armchair Expert podcast, clarifying that Banderas and Rodríguez were not at fault on that occasion. The scene was requested by study due to the chemistry between both actors.

The shooting was done in one piece with only the presence of Banderas, Rodríguez and the director’s wife at the time, Elizabeth Avellán. “When we were going to shoot, I started to sob. Saying to the other three: ‘I don’t know if I can do it. I’m scared’“Hayek said.

“One of the things I was scared of was Antonio. He was an absolute gentleman and so nice, and we are still very good friends, but he was very free. So it scared me that for him it was like nothing“said the Mexican.

“We did the best we could do at the time. They were so magnificent, this group of three,” Hayek stated.
