This morning the Polish studio CD Projekt Red has revealed through Twitter that on Sunday he was the victim of a computer attack, specifically on his internal data system.
Although they claim that they have not compromised the personal data of members of the company, they explained that important data has been exposed, so they are already working with the police to trace the origin of this attack and find those responsible.
“An unidentified agent gained unauthorized access to our internal network, compiled certain data belonging to the capital group of CD Projekt and they left a note as a blackmail that we make public “, they indicated through a statement, attaching the threat left by hackers.

“Although some of the devices on our network have been encrypted, our backup copies remain intact; We have started restoring the data, ”they added.
However, the theft seems to be something no less, since hackers claim to have obtained the source code of titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, Gwent and an unreleased version of the third game of The Wizard, as well as documents associated with accounting and financial relations, something quite delicate for any company.
As you can read in the threat, these perpetrators assure that they will endanger the public image of the company if they do not reach an agreement in the next 48 hours, probably in exchange for money.
We will see what the outcome of this situation is and if the hackers really release the codes of these coveted titles.
