The Ministry of Health reported 3,804 new infections by Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching a total of 22,493 cases that are in the active stage of the virus.
Yesterday, Saturday, a total of 22,791 active cases were reported, which is why a slight drop was recorded during this Sunday.
Of the 3,804 new cases, 2,411 are with symptoms and 1,221 asymptomatic, and this number reaches a total of 751,886 since the pandemic began in our country. In addition, 54,943 PCR tests were performed, with a positivity 7.2 percent and the last week it was 7.2 percent.

The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is -12% and -8% for the last seven and 14 days, respectively. While 14 regions decrease their new cases in the last 7 days and 10 in the last two weeks.
The regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last week are: Coquimbo, Tarapacá, Ñuble and Atacama.
Regarding deaths, on the last day they registered 79 dead in the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), thus totaling 18,974 deaths in the country.
There are currently 1,509 people hospitalized1,283 of them with mechanical ventilation support and 67 are in critical health. Meanwhile, there are 227 critical beds available.
