The judicial authorities of the city of Buenos Aires are investigating the brief abduction of a six-year-old boy in a summer colony by an adult woman, who posed as a nanny to pick up the minor from the compound and take him away, some facts that caused a commotion by the security breaches of the place.
The events date back to this past Thursday at noon, when the now detained went to a summer colony located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito, entered pretending to be the nanny and took the child with her, without anyone noticing anything strange in her attitude.
All the alarms went off shortly after, when the minor’s aunt, the only one authorized to pick him up, went to the neighborhood to take him home and realized that he was not there, so she quickly called the police.
“The boy tells me that someone was in that patio, a girl, who grabs his hand tightly, asks his name and says” come on, the door is open “. The boy says he screamed, but the teacher didn’t hear him. No babysitter was authorized, “said Fernanda, the child’s mother, in statements to the media this Friday morning.
After the family made the complaint, a strong police operation managed to rescue the child half an hour later, when he was in the company of the woman in a park a few streets from the neighborhood.
“The attitude observed (of the detainee) is completely passive (…). He did not resist. He did not refer to how he had taken him or who he was, he was silent at that moment and showed a calm attitude “, affirmed in declarations to the news channel TN Carlos Bobillo, the inspector commissioner in charge of the operation.
The woman remains deprived of liberty while the investigation of the events progresses, led by Judge Alejandra Provítola, who ordered the collection of evidence and documents from the detainee, including her psychiatric data, said Commissioner Bobillo.
In addition to a case of illegal abduction of minors, the Justice also maintains the hypothesis of a possible sexual abuse as “part of the investigation”, as recognized by the aunt and the mother of the minor before the media.
