In the midst of the migration crisis facing our country, mainly due to the illegal entry of people through unauthorized steps On the border with Peru and Bolivia, a tutorial on how to bypass the controls was released on YouTube.
It is a manual documented by a Venezuelan citizen named Orlando, who explains to his followers how he managed to get from his country to Chile, through Peru and Bolivia, without having the respective documentation.
“There we go on our way from Oruro to Pisiga (the border city of Bolivia with Chile) so we are going to tell you a little about the route, the road lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours … the road is a bit like a desert, there is not much green vegetation or anything, the road was excellent at that time we were going alone, ”says Orlando in the video.
Later on, the man assures that the end of the record is “informative”: “I tell you how my experience was, for some who want to move to Chile and go through that road, I hope the video will serve them.”
Once in the border municipality of Pisiga, still on Bolivian soil, you can see how travelers descend from a van and begin the journey on foot to the Chilean commune of Colchane.
During their journey, no control is observed and you can even see how they walk across the border, behind the border control.
“Here we are going behind customs, where they should pass normally, I am explaining where we are going. As you can see we carry water, there is a strong sun, the breeze is also strong ”, he warns.
Along with continuing to describe the surroundings of the landscape, Orlando records the moment when they already set foot on the national territory: “We continue walking, there is still a long way to go… the journey takes approximately 30 or 40 minutes. There it says welcome to Chile. I hope the video helps you ”.
Next, in the audiovisual register, photographs of groups of people crowded into the Carabineros police station in Colchane are observed.
“There we are at the police station and call the Carabineros here in Chile where you denounce yourself,” emphasizes the Venezuelan citizen. Is that doing that allows them to receive medical attention if necessary Or at least a plate of food and a glass of water after the strenuous tour.
Then he tells that he had to stay the night in an abandoned house in Colchane, only to complete his mission the next day at the uniformed police headquarters and then be referred to one of the 5 municipal schools authorized in Iquique to carry out the quarantine 14-day preventive for the coronavirus.
