As he pointed out, the request was taken because “the deputy no longer belongs to the Humanist Party, but also, because of the public connotation, because of the serious events that occurred and the serious events that today are even in the hands of the Ethics Commission of the Chamber, and also because they are in the hands of justice, then I believe that the situation is very complex and the Humanist Party has formally asked us, as head of the bench, to take this resolution, which we have accepted.
Alarcón’s place was taken by deputy Gabriel Silber (DC), since the bench could not have continued to function without a member.
“Just to clarify that he (Silber) is still part of the bench, he is still a Christian democrat, but he comes to complete a number that we have to have in order to be a bench, so I would like to thank Deputy Silber for being part of that today, in numerical terms, of the bench ”, he indicated.
For his part, deputy Silber He explained that “the Humanist committee, the Green Regionalist Front, wanted to give an important signal regarding a case that is being heard in court today, but in Congress also from the point of view of ethics it was necessary to be proactive rather than obviously waiting for an investigation that can take a long time ”.

Let us remember that after the accusation was made known, Alarcón resigned from the Chamber’s Culture, Arts and Communications committee and from the Humanist Party. In addition, this Tuesday he presented a medical license for 21 days.
