US authorities are looking for information to help uncover whoever was responsible for writing the word “Trump” on the back of a manatee from Floridaa spokeswoman confirmed Monday.

A spokeswoman for Federal Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) confirmed the information to AFP and asked potential witnesses to report information about the crime.
Craig cavanna, an FWS detective, told the Citrus County Chronicle that he cannot comment on “an ongoing investigation.”
He added that the person responsible faces up to $ 50,000 fine and one year in federal prison for harassing a protected species.
The manatee was found on Sunday, four days after Trump supporters invaded Congress, leaving five dead, although it was not clear when this misdeed may have been committed.
