The Electoral Service reported this Sunday that, one day after the deadline for the presentation of candidacies, there are no representatives of the chango people who have requested their authorization to apply for the Constitutional Convention.

Furthermore, according to the Servel, although representatives of the other peoples are authorized, in the case of the Collas, Yámanas (or Yaganes) and Kawashkar, none of them achieve the minimum amount of sponsorship that allows them to declare their candidacy.

For this reason, according to the latest report from Servel on its Online Sponsorship System on Saturday, only candidates could be presented to fill 13 of the 17 seats reserved for indigenous peoples in the Constitutional Convention.

It should be remembered that registration closes tomorrow at 11:59 p.m. for candidacies for conventional constituents, regional governors, mayors and councilors, elections that will be held on April 11.
