Dozens of opponents were detained in Hong Kong by national security law | International

Dozens of opposition figures in Hong Kong have been detained under the national security law, The affected political parties and a police source announced in the largest operation carried out to date in the city against critics of Beijing.

Opponents and party members reported 21 arrests on their Facebook and Twitter accounts, most of them for “subversion”.

They amount to “almost 50”, a police source told AFP who asked to remain anonymous.
