The national representative finished on the podium of the second stage, to climb in the general table to an expectant fourth place.

The Spanish Joan Barreda (Honda) was awarded this day and was at the top of the classification, with a cushion of 6 minutes and 23 seconds over the last champion, the American Ricky Brabec.

The Spaniard from Castellón completed the 457 kilometers of the special, between the towns of Bisha and Wadi Ad-Dawasir, in first position with a time of 4 hours, 17 minutes and 56 seconds.

The Chilean, meanwhile, timed 4 hours, 23 minutes and 58 seconds, to finish in third place, and being 7 minutes and 16 seconds from Barreda at the top.

The other great national representative in this category, Jose Ignacio Cornejo, finished fifth this day (04:30:02) and is now eleventh.

The Australian Toby Price (KTM), who started the stage leading, lived a day of ‘terror’ in the dunes and has gone from commanding the general to being sixteenth, accumulating a deficit of 17 minutes and 39 seconds with respect to the new leader.
