Martorell rules out being a constituent candidate: “I will continue working in the Government until the last day”

During the assessment carried out by the Government regarding the epidemiological situation of the country, the Undersecretary for Crime Prevention, Katherine Martorell, followed the rumors that considered her outside the Government in order to launch a candidacy for the Constitutional Convention.

The authority stated that it did not seem appropriate to be consulted at the Minsal press office about a possible candidacy, but also assured that he will continue in his post in the Executive, at the insistence of the consultation.

“I will continue in the Government. I am absolutely committed to the work that I am doing, with the work that this Government led by President Sebastián Piñera has carried out,” Martorell said.

In the same way, the official added that she feels “proud to be part of the team that also works against this pandemic, with people who have removed the dirt from the beginning.”

Within her approach, the undersecretary also rescued that our country has been “the first in Latin America to bring the vaccine”, in addition to maintaining that it is proud because “no person has lacked a respirator, whose health system was demanded to the maximum and replied “.

“I am proud to be part of that team and also to be part of the Ministry of the Interior and to be working on crime prevention and bringing security to the different neighborhoods,” added the authority, who even ventured that it seeks to continue until the end of this Government in office.

“My position is that I continue to work with great pride in this Government and I hope to finish until the last day of the term of President Sebastián Piñera,” he concluded.
