The Ministry of Health reported that this Saturday 3,338 new cases of covid-19 were added, 2,055 of them symptomatic and 1,165 non-symptomatic. With these figures, the country registers more than 3,000 new cases for the third consecutive day.
With this, total cases amount to 615,902, 16,870 assets and 581,961 recovered.
Finally, they reported that during the last day 64 deaths were mourned, bringing the total to 16,724 in total.
Meanwhile, 791 people hospitalized for this disease were reported. 616 of them are on mechanical ventilation and 67 critics. In turn, 314 mechanical fans are available.
For his part, Minister Enrique Paris reported that the variation of new cases in 7 days reached 16% at the national level, and 24% at the level of the Metropolitan region.
In addition, he indicated that the plan implemented for the end of the year holidays for the Metropolitan region was well evaluated, in the face of a much worse scenario that they predicted if the measures had not been taken.
The Secretary of State announced that “in the case of vaccines, as long as we do not have 80% of the population vaccinated, we cannot stop having health measures implemented.”
