Colo Colo defended himself from the clubs that ask for a subtraction of points and explained how he is paying the fine of 30 million pesos imposed by the ANFP after the suspension of the duel against Antofagasta, due to a case of Covid-19, last September.
There were complaints from some national football teams as a result of the payment in installments, for which the “albos” issued a statement.
“Yesterday (Wednesday, December 30), the ANFP Competitions Manager, made a presentation showing a statistics of the clubs (about 15 clubs approximately) that they have been fined for breaching the protocols, whose fines reach approximately 1,700 UF, “he added.
Regarding the origin of the money for the cancellation of the fine, the “Cacique” asserted that “when one of the counselors asked whether the fines were already canceled, the ANFP responded that these were being discounted in installments to all the clubs involved from the monthly payment of the Soccer Channel“.
“In said council, in addition, it was explained that this payment method was an internal decision of the board of the ANFP to help all the clubs involved, due to the situation in the country resulting from the pandemic“, he added.
“With regard to Colo Colo, the next day after the resolution of the Second Chamber of the Disciplinary Court, we communicated by email with the ANFP Finance Management to make the payment of the fine effective, receiving in response that it would be deducted from the payment monthly from the Soccer Channel to our club, “he said.
