The Oral Criminal Court of Antofagasta issued, during the morning of this Thursday, the conviction against the former mayor of that city, Karen Rojo, for the crime of fraud against the Treasury against the Municipal Corporation for Social Development of Antofagasta.
The conviction of the so-called Main case also fell on the former executive secretary of the Municipal Corporation, Edgardo Vergara.
Of course, the court acquitted her of the charges of tax fraud and incompatible negotiation in the case of the Cultural Corporation of Antofagasta.
Meanwhile, he also freed Héctor Gómez, a municipal official, who was also accused of fraud against the treasury.
In this context, the reading of the sentence was set for next January 18 at 3:00 p.m.
