CNTV Play, the streaming platform of the National Television Council (CNTV), is now available to the public, where from this week they will begin to broadcast their audiovisual content.
The service, absolutely free, will operate through its website and an application. with the objective that the productions financed by the CNTV Fund are seen by the largest possible audience.
According to data from the entity, television continues to have a hegemonic reach in Chile: while they exist 2.5 devices of this type for each household, more than 17 million cell phones also circulate.
In its debut, CNTV Play offers 7 categories of content with 130 titles including films, documentaries, series, miniseries and alternative material from its original productions.
Miniseries Invisible Heroes, Berko, Mary & Mike, Dignity and The huntingas well as the movies Il Futuro, The voice-over and The memory of my father, among others, are some of the titles of the premiere of the platform.
The series The Pack, The Cardinal’s Archives, Bala Loca, The Replacement, The Song of Your Life, The Forest of Karadima, 62 Stories of a World Cup, Animated Marzipan, Latin American Dreams, Juana Brava and The fabulous flowersFor example, they are also part of the catalog that will be renewed every week.
It should be noted that in its 28-year history, the National Television Council has financed 448 productions with around $ 55,248 million pesos.
How does it work
To access it for free, users must enter the CNTV website or download its app from stores compatible with IOS and Android devices. In a next stage, it will also be available from “stream boxes” (AppleTV, Chromecast, etc).
As the principle of CNTV Play, the contents are broadcast in full, without cuts or publicity in between. The only restriction, so far, is geographical: they are configured to be seen only from Chilean territory.
