Croatia earthquake: images show damage and fear in Petrinja
A 6.4 earthquake struck the Croatian town of Petrinja this Tuesday at noon. The earthquake resulted in the death of a girl and significant damage to the streets.
The mayor of the affected city, Darinko Dumbovic, assured that “Petrinja is in ruins. There are dead and wounded, there are missing. There is no house that has not been damaged. Ambulances cannot reach all places. It is chaos ”.
The images, captured by Croatian citizens and some media, recorded the chaos that the tremor generated.
Videos also rescued the reaction of some media Croats who were live at the time the shaking started.
Some users registered the damage caused by the earthquake in a supermarket.
The tremor was also felt in neighboring countries. Images were captured in the Slovenian Parliament in Ljubljana.
