The Ministry of Health delivered the report on the situation of the covid-19 pandemic in Chile, informing that in the last 24 hours registered the highest number of positivity since the National Holidays, when it reached 8.81%.
According to this Tuesday’s report, 1,958 new cases of covid-19 were registered, 1,410 correspond to symptomatic people and 499 do not present symptoms. In addition, 49 Positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
While, the positivity figure reached 8.7%, after 22,390 PCR tests were carried out during the last day, the highest since September 23, date after the weekend of National Holidays.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country reaches to
603,986. Of this total, 13,447 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 573,681.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), in the last 24 hours there were 45 deaths from causes associated with covid-19. The total number of deceased amounts to 16,488 in the country.
To date, 745 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 589 are on mechanical ventilation support and 63 are in critical health, for which there is a total of 273 ventilators available.
