Cenabast enters the ISP request for authorization to import the Sinovac vaccine | National

The Central Supply of the National Health Services System entered the authorization request to the Public Health Institute to import the Sinovac vaccine.

Specifically, the state delivered on Monday the technical background of the CoronaVac vaccine, so that it can be evaluated by the National Regulatory Agency, so that the hospitalization of more than 10 million doses during the first quarter of 2021.

In this sense, they also pointed out that “once the authorization of the ISP is obtained, through article 99 that allows the emergency hospitalization of CoronaVac doses, Cenabast will be able to begin with this process, which is expected to occur during the month of January”.

Also, Valentín Díaz, director of Cenabast, pointed out that “since Sinovac has no representation in Chile, according to the Sanitary Code we can do the direct import and for the same reason, this afternoon we asked the ISP for the authorization of emergency use “.

Along the same lines, Díaz added that ““ once the authorization from the ISP is obtained, the first shipment we would receive fifteen days later, 2,178,000 vaccines would arrive there, which successively should be repeated until complete 10 million doses, to March 1 “.

Finally, it was explained that the Sinovac vaccine will be managed entirely by Cenabast, this both in hospitalization and storage and distribution.
