Santiago Wanderers achieved an important triumph in their fight to escape relegation. The “Dean” beat by the minimum account to O’Higgins at Elas Figueroa Brander with a single goal by Juan Pablo Mio in minute 52, and managed to climb both in the weighted table and in the annual National Championship 2020.
With the three points, the Valparaso team not only rose many places in the annual table, ten points behind the bottom Colo Colo, but also rose five places in the dreaded Weighted Table, separating notably from Universidad de Chile, which follows a place of an eventual game of definition for not going down to First B.
On the other hand, the “Capo de Provincia” is still complicated in the classification, and remains in the fourteenth place in the tournament, 6 points from the last of the table and only 5 from Coquimbo Unido, which is also in the danger zone.
The table is still led by UC with 47 points, while its guards, Unin La Calera and Unin Espaola follow closely with 45 and 44 points respectively.
