A police operation took place on Thursday night at the 21st Carabineros Police Station in Central Station, this due to the detonation of an explosive device.
Specifically, the uniformed police compound is located at the intersection of Ecuador street with Padre Alberto Hurtado avenue.
In this sense, auditors of Radio Bío Bío and neighbors of the sector They gave notice of a strong explosion, which occurred – according to the Carabineros – around 9:20 p.m.
Preliminary damage was reported to a gate at the police station, while GOPE, OS9 and Labocar personnel arrived at the site of the event to carry out the rigorous expert opinions.
Likewise, the Carabineros indicated that during the review of the cameras of the respective unit, it was possible to see a person who arrived by bicycle outside the police station – wearing a reflective vest, jeans and black shoes – who would have left in the I step on an unknown element, registering an explosion minutes later.
For the moment, it was ruled out that people injured after what happened.
