12-year-old boy dies electrocuted just hours before Christmas

During the afternoon of this December 24, a boy from 12 years died after suffering a electric shock at his home in the commune of Hijuelas, Valparaíso region.
The incident occurred when the minor was watering the garden of his home and tripped over the cable of a washing machine that was running at the time and there he received the shock.
The parents tried to help him and cut off the electricity supply, while emergency personnel from the Mario Sánchez de la Calera Hospital arrived at the scene, who transferred him to the resuscitation unit of the hospital.
He entered with a reserved prognosis and despite the maneuvers of the personnel who transferred him, unfortunately lost his life. The governor of the province of Quillota, Iván Cisternas, referred to the tragic accident.
The event, which occurred around 7:00 p.m., prompted the presence of police officers to carry out the rigorous procedure in the home of the deceased child to determine precisely the causes of this accident.
