His name will go down in history. During the morning of this Thursday, Zulema Riquelme, a 46-year-old Tens who works at the Sótero del Río Hospital, became the first Chilean to be vaccinated against covid-19.

After the historic event that took place in the Metropolitan Hospital, Zulema Riquelme herself called for confidence in the vaccination process.

“I understand that people are distrustful, it is something new, but you have to have faith and trust. That they get vaccinated while they can, as soon as possible,” he said.

Beyond the vaccine, the first Chilean to receive the dose of Pfizer made a call to continue maintaining health care.

“That they continue to take care of themselves, as we who work in health say, that they take good care of themselves because that way they help us to lower our workload,” he stated.
