Volunteers from Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire that destroyed a bus from Transantiago in Vitacura.
The situation occurred on Vitacura avenue with Christmas, where for reasons that will be investigated a public transport bus of the Metbus company was engulfed in flames.
The incident left a column of smoke visible from different points of the capital.
Commander Alyson Larrañaga indicated that, according to the driver of the machine, the machine was evacuated after feeling a strong smell.
Thus, no people were injured.
Meanwhile, the driver identified as Raúl Leiva indicated that the fire quickly consumed the machine. “In seconds the bus started,” he said.
He added that the accident was probably caused by a machine failure.
