Shooting confrontation between PDI detectives and unknown persons leaves 1 dead and 3 injured in Cerrillos | National

A new shooting took place at night on Tuesday in the Metropolitan region, adding to the one that occurred during the Plaza de Maipú in the afternoon.

However, this second event would have originated as a result of an attempted robbery and would not have any relation to what happened earlier.

According to preliminary information, the shooting was the result of a confrontation between PDI detectives and strangers, one of the latter being killed.

Three other injured were taken to a health facility and their health status is unknown.

Specifically, the shooting took place in Pedro Aguirre Cerda Avenue with Departmental, in the commune of Cerrillos.

At the site of the event there would be at least 14 vanillas that are already being inspected by police personnel.
