Paris stressed that “citizens must maintain self-care measures. We are very concerned to see the images in Santiago and regions of agglomerations of people who do not maintain physical distance or the minimum safeguards to avoid contagions. As a health authority we call on people to take care of themselves and move only if it is extremely necessary. It is in this period where we must most take care of ourselves. We must understand that the pandemic has put us in a challenge that we must face together, the authority and the citizen, only then can we recover ”.
It was also reported that two regions decreased their new cases in the last seven days. The positivity for the last week at the national level is 4.84%. Likewise, Paris said that the Magallanes region continues to show a significant decrease in the incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, but it continues to be the highest in the country. The regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Atacama, Tarapacá, Maule and Aysén.
