Carabinero dies after colliding with a horse on Route 5

Around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle collided with a horse on Route 5 Sur, Longaví height.

The driver of the car passed away, a lieutenant of the Carabineros of the Fifth Zone of Valparaíso, who was also traveling with his wife and three children.

His daughter, an aspiring officer, is at life risk, admitted to the Linares Base Hospital.

According to what was indicated by Lieutenant Colonel José Lorca, from the Linares prefecture, the SIAT de Carabineros is investigating the event, determining the circumstances in which the horse was on the route, heading north.
